New Kids on the Hill is our search and retrivial of our children to our home on Capitol Hill

Well: the story so far:

13 Dec 2008

Greetings from Kiev;

Erik and I arrived this morning after meeting three other families at JFK that are in some form of the adoption phase (most are returning to pick up the kids) we heard some tough situations like one family ran into a female judge that has never done any adoptions so she is running them thru the ringer and the timeline has been 2 plus months. They are remaining hopeful and faithful in the process.

We have tomorrow to enjoy the day and then the process begins as we head to our appt at 10am on Monday at the SDA - State Dept of Adoption where we will be presented with options of children to choose from dossier packets and we go from there.

If you all would - we would appreciate your continued prayers for discernment to know the children when we see the small photos in the paperwork and let God show us the way.

We then will learn the location of the children and travel to see them.

The timeframe is unknown on the whole process - we hope approx 30-40 days but the holidays will come as early as the end of Dec so the govt will shut down and that will all cause everything to come to a halt.

We hope for two healthy children and to have them be comfortable with us when we meet them.

Well that is it for now. We will keep you posted as we can.

Take care and enjoy the holiday season!

Regards;

Heidi and Erik Brun
